YIN RESTORE: The Ritual of Rest

YIN RESTORE: The Ritual of Rest

15 hour Weekend Immersion

Experience and explore the philosophy and methods of yin and restorative yoga in an immersive and experiential weekend of artful relaxation.

Learn the differences and similarities of these two complementary practices, along with their roots in elemental Taoist and Tantric foundations to support students and teachers alike in the nourishing qualities of slowing down with contemplative postures and spacious rest.

Gain a deep embodied understanding on how to construct your own personal practice while also learning how to share thematic, therapeutic, and traditional yin and restorative practices.

This journey will begin with a tea ceremony that introduces the art of yoga as ritual, a process that both empties and refills your cup. The weekend will conclude with a yin restore ceremony that includes a flower essence to integrate and support the nervous system for ongoing rest and renewal.

The Course Includes:

  • Manual of Yin & Restorative Postures that we’ll cover in the immersion

  • Roots of Yin ~ its history, technique and nature based approaches

  • Biomechanics of Connective Tissue ~ stressors verses stretching

  • Repose ~ how to coach the body, mind, and spirit to relax, rest, and restore

  • Skillful Sequencing & Prop support for all levels of students with alternatives and variations

  • Key Components for Consistency and Confidence to first build your personalized yin restorative yoga practice before sharing with others

  • The Art of Space Holding with silence, presence and consideration for all beings to be invited and welcomed with inclusivity and integrity, plus what makes a really good yin soundtrack!

  • The Ritual of Yoga~ we’ll begin to explore the stages of transformation within a yoga class and how to supplement and enhance the practice with ceremonial elements and herbal tips.

  • You’ll also be gifted a personal flower essence specifically crafted for this weekend experience by Kimiko.

This training counts 15 hours towards a certification from The Course by Morpho Bleu.

Schedule:

Friday - 18h00 - 21h00

Saturday - 12h30 - 18h30

Sunday - 12h30 - 16h30

PLEASE NOTE:

We highly recommend taking the next Spring/Growth Module with Karl and Sarah, that weekend will hold invaluable supplementary theoretical knowledge of the Chinese Meridians and TCM and how it specifically relates to Yin Yoga.

Note that is an immersion and not a fully accredited yin & restorative yoga training, but it will greatly inspire existing teachers, students, and aspiring practitioners alike.
