“As things fall apart and the old story releases its thralls into the space between stories, the beautiful music of our choir will beckon, and they will come join us in song. We have been doing important work, first in loneliness, then in small, marginal groups. The time is upon us for a new Story of the People to leave the incubator. When things fall apart, the hopelessly radical becomes common sense.” ~ Charles Eisenstein
“There is no time for despair, no place for self-pity, no need for silence, no room for fear. We speak, we write, we do language. That is how civilizations heal.” ~ Toni Morrison
LIVE ARTFULLY WITH SOULFUL ECOLOGY
Kimiko Tao Fujimoto [she/her/divine]. My name “little buddha peach tree,” given at birth is my destiny. My Californian + Japanese + Quebecois ancestry is rooted in the land, and inspired by a family of healers + spirit seekers. I am a Yonsei [4th generational Bi-racial Japanese American]. My 40 year old’ story, like many, is a labyrinth, where every path leads me down another rabbit hole of mystery. I’ve dedicated my life to this spiral pathway through the soil, shadows, and stars to serve the sacred with artful devotion.
Each day my heart peers into books, inspiring my rituals with ancient myth and magical realism. After studying post-colonial literature and film in college, I followed a spark into the world of yoga in 2000. This ongoing love affair brought me to study under the guidance of my most formative teachers : Shiva Rea, Sianna Sherman, Sally Kempton, Christopher Tompkins, Biff Mithoefer, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, and Jai Dev Singh. Through the lineages of Hatha, Prana Vinyasa, Tantra, Yin, Bhakti, and Kundalini yoga I have learned to recode the practices through the darshana of ritual and sound. Kundalini Illuminated is a synergy of cross-cultural embodied practices, resonance, and storytelling centred on the intent to regenerate intuition, connection, decolonize the soul, and encourage self-sovereign-determination.
The pulse of Kundalini Shakti aligns my passion. As a Shakti Initiate and Earth Priestess, I serve creatively uniting the worlds of core shamanism, herbalism, and mysticism into play and purpose. Steeped in training through the Foundation of Shamanic Studies and Gaia School of Healing, I have pilgrimaged far and wide, and deeply inside to return my hands to universal medicine. As a Mystic Walker, one who travels between worlds, my calling is to guide and nourish one’s innate spirituality with grounded reverence to the Earth and our ancestors. I created Mystic Mentorship as way offer these gifts.
My Capricorn and Leo rising interests have positioned me to be a space holder and evolutionary entrepreneur for over 20 years. I co-founded TEMPLE, an altar for personal offerings and a collective space. I love creative collaborations, and have birthed many projects with beloved partnerships: from yoga studios to large scale events such as Ceremony of Yoga, global retreats with Rose Caravane, and aPriestess online circle called VESSEL OF WORTH with Leila Sadeghee .
As a writer, I have committed my efforts to creating alliances that give voice and precedence to our personal stories as medicine. I envision nourishing regenerative activism with “revolutionary love”. I believe we must hold space for diversity to thrive within the concepts of intersectional inclusivity. I am committed to a global exchange that all honours all dimensions of reality from an informed, authentic space of decolonized wholeness. One collaborative project dear to my heart is called : OUR COLOURFUL YOGA @ourcolourfulyoga | www.ourcolourfulyoga.org
These are only few seedlings of my heart story, for it is in sacred reciprocity that you and I shall meet. If our paths cross through words or rituals, I’ll learn from your story too. For we all have a story to share and gifts to awaken together.
Many Blessings,
Kimiko

to make this mountain taller so the
