poetry
I called you to these words
to dismantle your arrogance
touch the emptiness
of your hollowed structures
feel the shallows
of your production priorities
smell the odours
of your decaying trash
see the abandonment
of your forsaken peoples
witness the stress
of your pillaged planet
taste the virus
of your toxic appetite
to consume
so easily
anything
that inflates
your SELF.
As you lament
the past,
your DNA
is upgrading
your heart
is unclenching
your networks
are communicating
your mind
is expanding
because
dear friend,
you were
programmed
to live
and create
a more beautiful
world.
Bring synergy
to your shadows
Bring love
to your thoughts
Bring tears
to your truth
Bring space
to your healing
Bring soul
to your home.
Remember
when pushing
against
the uncertainty
it’s
okay
to know
nothing.
The
future
is yet
to be written
because
today
you’re
finally
awake.
I invite you to return to your art…
in the words of Toni Morrison:
“There is no time for despair, no place for self-pity, no need for silence, no room for fear. We speak, we write, we do language. That is how civilizations heal.”
